Portmellon
Just around the headland from the charming fishing village of Mevagissey, Portmellon is an ideal base to visit many local Cornish attractions such as the nearby Lost Gardens of Heligan, the world famous Eden Project and on the Isles of Scilly, Tresco gardens.  The South West Coast Path literally runs past the front of the inn – ramblers are most welcome.

There is a free slipway opposite the Rising Sun on the dog-friendly beach.

Mevagissey
Mevagissey offers many deep sea angling and shark fishing trips from the quay from one of England's last traditional fishing villages. There are also popular mackerel fishing trips which offer the opportunity to see other parts of the coast.

During the summer, a regular ferry runs between Fowey and Mevagissey. Take in the sea air, the fantastic views and you don't have to worry about the car either.

The village is home to an array of collectors and gift shops which you can browse around.

Mevagissey is also alive at night during the summer with traditional pubs around the area.

In Mevagissey there are a number of attractions to suit the whole family. There is an Aquarium, Museum and Model Railway and the Old Pilchard Cellars.

Mevagissey Feast Week is normally the last week in June each year.
